Efavirenz600 mg /Emitricitabine200mg / Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate 300 mg is a fixed-dose mixture of efavirenz, emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil. It is indicated for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus -1(HIV-1) contamination in adults aged 18 years and over with virologic suppression to HIV-1 RNA levels of <50copies/ml on their current mixture therapy for more than three months. How Does it Work?

Among the three drugs, the two (emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil) are from a class of drugs known as NRTIs (nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors). The third drug, efavirenz, is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). All drug class works against HIV in a distinct way.
