Precautions for Lenvatinib 10mg:
Do not consume LENVIMA if you have or have had the following conditions:
- You are allergic to lenvatinib or any other contents of the medication mentioned above.
- You are lactating.
Inform your doctor of the following before starting LENVIMA:
- High Blood Pressure
- If you are planning to get pregnant.
- Have a history of heart issues or have experienced a stroke
- Have or had liver/ kidney problems.
- Have had a surgery or radiotherapy recently

- If you are above 75 years of age.

- In children and adolescents

- Contraception, Pregnancy and Lactation

Note: If there is a chance of conceiving, prefer to use a highly effective contraceptive measure while on this medication and for at least a month after the treatment has finished. - Driving and using other machines
It is advised to avoid driving or using machines as LENVIMA may cause side effects such as feeling dizzy or tired, which may hinder your ability to drive or use other machines.
Instructions for the Use of Lenvatinib 10mg:
For Thyroid cancer:
- The recommended dose of LENVIMA most commonly prescribed is 24 mg once a day (2 capsules of 10 mg and 1 capsule of 4 mg).
- If the condition is severe such as the patient has liver or kidney problems, the recommended dose is changed to14 mg once a day (1 capsule of 10 mg and 1 capsule of 4 mg).
The doctor may reduce your dose if you experience major side effects.
How to consume this medicine:
- The capsules can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow the capsule as a whole with water or in a dissolved form. (For dissolving them, add a tablespoon of water or apple juice in a glass and add the capsule in it, without breaking or crushing it. Leave it for at least 10 minutes then stir for a minimum of 3 minutes till the capsule dissolves completely. Drink the mixture and after drinking pour same amount of water or apple juice, swirl and drink it.
- Take the capsules at the same time each day.

What should you do in case you forget to take LENVIMA?
Do not take a double dose the same day to compensate for the forgotten dose.
If there are 12 hours remaining for your next scheduled dose, take the dose as soon as you remember and from the next day onwards take the dose as per your normal routine.
If the remaining time is less than 12 hours until your next dose, skip the missed dose and from the next day onwards take the dose as per your normal routine.

– The following can be signs of a stroke, bleeding in brain, or the effect of a severe increase in blood pressure in the brain:
- Feeling numb or weak on one side of your body
- Severe headache
- Seizure
- Confusion
- Difficulty talking
- Vision changes or feeling dizzy
– The following may be signs of a heart problem, a blood clot in your lung or a leak of air from your lung into your chest causing a lack of inflation in your lung:
- Chest pain or feeling of pressure
- Pain in arms, back, neck or jaw
- Shortness of breath
- Rapid/ irregular heart rate
- Severe and continuous coughing
- Bluish colour on lips or finger
- Fatigue
– The following symptom may be because of a hole in the wall of your gut or fistula (a hole in your gut that links through a tube- like passage to another part of the body or skin):
- severe pain in the abdomen/ belly
– The following symptom may be sign of bleeding inside the body:
- Black, tarry, or bloody stools
- Coughing up blood
– The following may be signs of liver problems:
- Yellow skin or yellowing of sclera (the white part in the eye)
- Drowsiness
- Confusion
- Poor concentration
Most Common Side effects that can cause serious kidney failure if become dehydrated and if they are not taken care of:
- Diarrhoea
- Feeling and being sick for long

- Underactive thyroid

How to store Lenvatinib 10mg?
- Keep LENVIMA out of reach and sight from children
- Do not use the medicine after the date of expiry that is stated on the carton and each blister of the medicine.
- Do not store the medicine above 25°C.
- Store in the original blister in order to protect moisture.
